Shania Brown
Activities Coordinator - Climbing Instructor
Shania has several years of experience supporting people with disabilities, a role that she finds incredibly rewarding. Since joining Woodland Adventure Zone, her passion for outdoor learning and adventure has grown even stronger. She enjoys combining her experience in supporting others with opportunities to learn new skills, develop professionally, and create fun, meaningful experiences for the people she works with.
Outside of work, Shania can usually be found exploring the Peak District. Whether she is hiking, camping, or supporting Duke of Edinburgh expeditions, she loves spending time outdoors and encouraging others to build confidence, resilience, and a sense of adventure.
Kyle Rodgers
Activities Coordinator
After completing his Outdoor Activities Apprenticeship with us, Kyle brings with him enthusiasm for climbing and working with others.
He helps deliver outdoor programmes to make sure they are accessible, so everyone can participate and enjoy their outdoor woodland adventure and enjoy the outdoors as much as he does.
Phil Constantine
Woodland Adventure Zone Volunteer
Phil started volunteering in January 2020 after retiring. He supports the team by maintaining the woodland path and areas around the facility. He has created some beautiful insect houses and displays around the woodlands and keeps the area looking neat and tidy. Phil enjoys being outdoors, he loves nature, birds and the forest and he enjoys chatting with our learners and citizens who use the Woodland Adventure Zone.
‘Being outside for me is very therapeutic, I love gardening, bird watching and I even look after a hedgehog in my own garden. This is my happy place and it’s really rewarding being able to make a difference to everyone at Portland’.
