Woodland activity trail donation to go ahead

Portland College at Harlow Wood has received a donation of £42,500 from the Mansfield Building Society’s charitable trust.

The generous donation will ensure the college’s plans to build a woodlands activity trail will go ahead.

Richard Crisp, from the Mansfield, said: “We’re thrilled to be associated with such a terrific local project, and hope that our passion is shared by other businesses who are able to help the college fill the remaining funding gap.

“The project will also benefit schools who will be granted free access to the activity trail once complete.”

The activity trail will include a 90 metre zip line, a climbing tower and a bike trail which is all accessible for people with disabilities.
